Tim Kaine, who is currently serving as the junior United States Senator from Virginia, is an American politician and attorney born on February 26, 1958 in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Though, he was born in Minnesota, he was raised in Kansas City area, Kansas where his family moved when he was two years old. His birth name is Timothy Michael Kaine. He was born to a father who was a welder and owned a small iron work shop. His mother was a home economics teacher named Mary Kathleen. His father’s name was Albert Alexander Kaine Jr. He has two siblings of whom he is the elder one. He took admission in the University of Missouri in the year 1976 and graduated from there in the year 1979 with a bachelor of arts degree in Economics. He, then, attended Harvard Law School after graduation but his law studies were interrupted due to him going to Honduras for nine months. It is to be noted that Kaine is fluent and flawless in speaking Spanish because of his nine months at Honduras.

While Kaine was graduating from Harvard Law School, he met his to be wife, Anne Holton who also the student there, a first year student. Kaine graduated from the school in the year 1983 with a J.D degree. After having this degree, both Kaine and Holton moved to Holton’s home town that is Richmond in Virginia. There, he took admission in the Virginia Bar in the year 1984. Kaine has three children name Nat Kaine, Woody Kaine and Annella Kaine. He follows Roman Catholicism and is a firm believer of the Christianity.
In Different Offices:
· Tim Kaine remained a member of the Richmon City Council from 1st July, 1994 to September 10th, 2001. He was succeeded by William J. Pantele, then.
· He, then, became the 70th Mayor of Richmond and joined the office on 1st July, 1998 and left on September 1st, 2001. He was succeeded by Rudy McCulium as a mayor. Kaine served as 38th Lieutenant Governor of Virginia from January 12, 2006 to January 14, 2010. He was succeeded by Bill Bolling.
· Kaine succeeded Mr. Mark Warner as the 70th Mayor of Virginia and remained on the seat from January 14, 2006 till the date January 16, 2010. He was succeeded by Mr. Bob McDonnell.
· Tim Kaine rendered his services as the Chairman of the National Democratic Committee from January 21, 2009 to April 5th, 2011. He was, then, succeeded by Debbie Wasserman Schultz. He has, now, been serving as the current United States Senator from Virginia from January 3, 2013 along with Mark Warner.
In 58th US Presidential Election, 2016:
It was on July 22nd, 2016 that Miss. Hilary Clinton, the Democratic presidential candidate, announced Mr. Tim Kaine to be her running mate for the seat of United States’ Vice President for 58th US Presidential Elections. The 2016 Democratic Convention got him nominated on 27th, July 2016 for being candidate for US’s 45th Vice President.
